A study was carried out where we set the objective of determining the relationship between urinary tract infection as a risk factor for premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women treated at the Santa María del Socorro Hospital in Ica, 2023. Methodology: The type of observational, transversal and retrospective research was used; with a relational level and non-experimental design. The sample was made up of 112 pregnant women with urinary tract infection; The instrument was the data collection form. Results: 28.7% presented recurrent asymptomatic bacteriuria, of which 11.7% had high rupture, and in non-recurrent bacteriuria, 6.4% had high rupture of membranes. Acute cystitis occurred in 9.9% of them, 2.9% with high rupture of membranes. Pyelonephritis was observed in 19.9% of which 8.2% had low rupture of membranes. In premature rupture of membranes, the gestational age was 37 weeks or more in 44.4%, the term of pregnancy by vaginal delivery in 29.8% and the time elapsed between the rupture of membranes and the beginning of labor was 6 hours in 83.6%. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between urinary tract infection as a risk factor for premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women treated at the Santa María del Socorro Hospital in Ica, 2023.
