Resumen
El propósito fue determinar la prevalencia de sarna (Sarcoptes scabiei var aucheniae) en vicuñas
de la provincia de Lucanas – Ayacucho, por lo que es una patología parasitaria de alto nivel de
altamente contagio, producida por el acaro Sarcoptes scabiei, lo que produce grandes pérdidas en
la económia, en la Provincia, se recolectaron 16,038 muestras de raspado de piel aparentemente
infectado con sarna, desde el mes de junio del 2021 a Noviembre del 2022; en los diferentes
chaccus de la provincia de lucanas Ayacucho trasladada y procesadas en el área de Parasitología
en SENASA. Se utilizó la técnica de raspados profundos de la piel afectada y se determinó una
prevalencia total del 1.1%, siendo el distrito más afectado Cabana con 12.7%, Lucanas 5%,
Pichccachuri 4.4% y Andamarca 2%, según la edad la mayor prevalencia se obtuvo en la edad
cría 0 %, los juveniles son los más afectados con un 52% y los adultos con un 48%,
The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of scabies (Sarcoptes scabiei var aucheniae) in vicuñas in the province of Lucanas - Ayacucho, which is a highly contagious parasitic infectious disease, caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei, which has been producing considerable economic losses in the Province, 16,038 skin scraping samples apparently infected with scabies were collected, from June 2021 to November 2022; in the different vicuñas of the province of Lucanas Ayacucho transferred and processed in the Parasitology area at SENASA.
