Objective: To identify the level of knowledge and attitudes of Human Medicine interns towards an earthquake at a public university, Ica 2024. Methodology: A study with a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional design and a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 87 Human Medicine interns who were in their seventh year of studies in 2024. Participants were selected by convenience according to previously established criteria. Results: 74.7% of inmates showed an intermediate level of knowledge, and 77% expressed a positive attitude toward an earthquake. Spearman's correlation test showed a significant relationship between knowledge level and attitude (Rho = 0.327; p = 0.002). Conclusion: It was determined that the majority of inmates presented an intermediate level of knowledge and a positive attitude toward seismic situations, with a statistically significant relationship between both variables. Recommendation: It is advisable to implement ongoing training strategies in disaster risk management, which reinforce both the regulatory knowledge and the attitudinal and emotional preparation of future physicians in emergencies.
