Nivel de conocimiento sobre métodos anticonceptivos y el embarazo adolescente en usuarias atendidas en el Hospital Santa María del Socorro Ica - 2024

Abstract

“Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimientos sobre métodos anticonceptivos y el embarazo adolescente en usuarias atendidas en el “Hospital Santa María del Socorro Ica”” - 2024. Metodología: el enfoque fue cuantitativo, relacional, observacional, prospectivo, transversal con diseño correlacional – no experimental. La muestra fue de 92 adolescentes. El cuestionario fue el instrumento utilizado, la encuesta fue la técnica de recolección de datos. Para el análisis descriptivo se utilizó el programa SPSS V. 26 para los gráficos de frecuencia y de doble entrada, se empleó Rho de Spearman para la estadística inferencial. Resultados: Existe una Relación positiva media en el nivel de conocimientos sobre métodos anticonceptivos y el embarazo adolescente en usuarias atendidas en el “Hospital Santa María del Socorro Ica” – 2024, y existe una correlación negativa media entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre el método sin hormonas (DIU) y el embarazo adolescente. (Rho = -,160). Conclusiones: Existe una relación significativa entre las variables nivel de conocimientos sobre métodos anticonceptivos y el embarazo adolescente en usuarias atendidas en el “Hospital Santa María del Socorro Ica” – 2024. existiendo influencia en igual intensidad sobre el embarazo adolescente respecto a los conocimientos que tengan las participantes. Sin embargo, existe una relación significativa entre la dimensión nivel de conocimiento sobre los métodos definitivos y el embarazo adolescente, lo que explica que menor nivel de conocimientos de métodos anticonceptivos mayor es el número de embarazos en adolescentes.

To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about contraceptive methods and teenage pregnancy in users treated at the “Santa María del Socorro Hospital Ica” - 2024. Methodology: The approach was quantitative, relational, observational, prospective, crosssectional with a correlational – non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 92 adolescents. The questionnaire was the instrument used; the survey was the data collection technique. For the descriptive analysis, the SPSS V. 26 program was used for the frequency and double entry graphs, and Spearman's Rho was used for inferential statistics. Results: In my study, there is a medium positive relationship between the level of knowledge about contraceptive methods and teenage pregnancy in users treated at the Santa María del Socorro Hospital Ica – 2024. (Rho = .273 and p = .009). 56.5% of the users had a low level and the remaining 43.5% had a medium level of knowledge. Likewise, it is evident that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge about hormonal methods and teenage pregnancy. (Rho = .008). There is a weak negative correlation between the level of knowledge about barrier methods (condom) and teenage pregnancy. (Rho = -.041). In addition, there is a medium negative correlation between the level of knowledge about the non-hormonal method (IUD) and teenage pregnancy. (Rho = -.160). Also, there is a medium negative correlation between the level of knowledge about definitive methods and teenage pregnancy. (Rho = -.398). Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between the variables level of knowledge about contraceptive methods and teenage pregnancy in users treated at the “Santa María del Socorro Hospital Ica” - 2024. This states that there is an influence of equal intensity on teenage pregnancy regarding the knowledge that the participants have. In addition, no significant relationship was found between the level of knowledge of natural methods, hormonal methods, barrier methods (condom) and hormone-free method (IUD); and teenage pregnancy. However, it has been shown that there is a significant relationship between the dimension level of knowledge about definitive methods and teenage pregnancy, which explains that the lower the level of knowledge of contraceptive methods, the higher the number of pregnancies in teenagers.
